Roadway and Bridges

For the past 45 years, PEC has worked with LA DOTD and numerous municipal/parish entities in the planning and completion of highway projects. Our design team understands the key issues involved in roadway projects. Each of our road design personnel has several years of experience, working closely and coordinating with field survey, geotechnical firms, utility companies, and clients at each phase of a project’s development.

We offer a wide array of professional services:

·       Environmental reviews, assessments, and permitting

·       Hydraulic studies

·       Road design

·       Preparation of Plans and Specifications

·       Right-of-way map development

·       Right-of-way acquisition

·       Utility relocation and upgrade coordination

·       Utility and road construction oversight

·       Construction administration

·       Grant administration

We understand that each type of roadway project is unique with its own specific requirements, whether that project involves new road and highway construction, roadway rehabilitation, or relocation/widening projects in rural or urban settings. Therefore, we work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to define the scope, prepare a schedule, and ensure concurrent task performance to accelerate a project’s completion.

PEC’s experience includes road reconstruction and overlay projects, as well as multi-lane projects for LA DOTD, the City of Baton Rouge, and many other parish and local governments throughout southern Louisiana.

Throughout our experience, PEC has proven our ability to coordinate, manage, and perform the work involved in all levels of road design. We remain fully invested in urban and rural roadway design projects from inception to final construction.
